Madisonville Regional Airport

Madisonville Regional Airport

Airfield Electrical Rehabilitation

Project Value - $1.8M

Project Engineer: Garver

Details: Completed in 2024, Madisonville Regional Airport’s 6,000’ Runway and full length Taxiway received a complete electrical rehabilitation. Allowing only 68 days for construction, the project had an accelerated schedule with the added complication of starting in early February in Kentucky. With our crew’s airfield experience and installation method, AFC was able to keep sections of taxiway compliant for opening daily thus maximize workable calendar days and minimize restoration work and system downtime in the event weather delayed work. The runway reopened at the end of every work week with lights operational giving the client full use during non-working periods and poor weather conditions. AFC thanks project partners Garver, JDT RPR, and the staff at Madisonville Regional Airport for their help and efforts in ensuring a successful project for all stakeholders.
